DUHĀ is a modest fashion brand rooted in faith, softness, and intentional design. We take our name from Surah Ad-Duha (Chapter 93 of the Quran) — a reminder that morning always follows night, and that ease comes after hardship. Every piece we make carries that promise.

Q  What does DUHĀ mean?

Duhā (دُحَى) is the Arabic word for the radiant morning light — the quiet, golden hour between dawn and midday. It is also the name of Surah Ad-Duha, revealed to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as divine reassurance during a time of silence and uncertainty. We carry that meaning in everything we create.

Q  How should I care for my DUHĀ abaya?

We recommend the following general care guidelines:

•       Hand wash in cold water or use a gentle machine cycle in a mesh bag

•       Use a mild, pH-neutral detergent — avoid harsh chemicals

•       Never wring or twist — gently squeeze out excess water

•       Air dry on a padded hanger away from direct sunlight

•       Do not put in the dryer — heat can damage fabric and embellishments

•       For embellished pieces (Leila, Maryam, Zainab), hand wash only and turn inside out

Always check the individual care label inside your garment for specific instructions.

Q  How do I remove wrinkles?

We recommend using a steamer for the best results — it is gentler on the fabric than an iron. If ironing, use a low-to-medium heat setting and place a cloth between the iron and the fabric. Hang immediately after steaming to prevent new wrinkles from forming.
